Spray Powder

Böttcher offers the standard spray powders BöttcherPro Silux 20 and BöttcherPro Silux 35 in 1-kg stand-up pouches with screw caps.Sprayer units on presses can be filled easily from the stand-up pouch without spilling and press soiling and then simply closed with the screw cap. That is a major advantage over the conventional plastic pouches commonly offered in the market, which have to be cut open at one corner to remove the powder.

Larger containers are more practical and economical wherever large quantities are needed. We also offer our powders in 3.5-kg canisters. Our standard spray powders BöttcherPro Silux 20 and BöttcherPro Silux 35 meet the requirements for low-dust spray powders and are cited in the “List of Recommended Low-Dust Spray Powders” issued by the trade association for the printing and paper-processing industries.

Tests have proven that fine particulate matter smaller than 10 µm is respirable, which means that these particles intrude far into the alveoli and accumulate there. Inhaled by printers over a period of years, this particulate matter may eventually cause serious lung disease. The trade association has specified that low-dust spray powders must contain less than 10% particulate matter with grain sizes of 10 µm by volume. BöttcherPro Silux 20 and Silux 35 comply with this standard.
